A: The disk floats naturally and can be pushed down if your dog presses hard. Most dogs just drink from the center without pressing. If yours is a determined "problem solver," this bowl may not be for him. We're happy to refund if it doesn't work for your dog.
Q: Is this bowl "spill proof" or "drip proof"?
A: It prevents long ears and beards from soaking in water (3" side wall + floating disk). It keeps your dog's mouth and nose dry while drinking. However, it does NOT stop a dog from holding water in his mouth and dripping as he walks away – no bowl can. If that's your main concern, this isn't the right product.
